Baby A and Baby J

My Goodness! I can't even tell you how amazed I am with this new mother! Just spending the afternoon with her and her amazing and helpful husband my eyes were opened to a whole new world of twins! Marianne is an old friend from high school and I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her sweet little baby girl and boy. She is a woman of many talents. As you can tell from the photos we took at her home, she is also a very talented interior designer and she does floral design! Is there anything she can't do? I think not.

Meet her new sweeties. I like to imagine they will grow up to be the best of friends. The only time we could get both of them asleep at the same time was when they were cuddled up together. So much fun!

Maggie Mag Pie

Here are some more of my very, most, favorite photos of Maggie. I wanted to show so many more but it just seems like so long ago that I took these... It's like when you look back at your old school projects and are surprised by how little you knew....

But I still wanted to show a few of my favorites, because she so dang cute! And I wanted to show off the hat she is wearing, which I knitted.... with my very own two hands... heheheh

I love knitting baby hats! I knitted this one a few years ago and had no one to give it to because all of my friends were having boys. I was just waiting for someone to have a girl and how perfect it was that that someone got to be my very own little sister. I think it is perfect for Maggie. So far this is my favorite baby hat that I've knitted out of many. I'd like to make it again, if only I can figure out how I did it..... hahaha! The pattern was so hard follow and I started over what seemed like a million times.

And I do wish I would have gotten a picture if the top... it's the shape of a star. I'll have to dig through the old photos and see if I can find one...

Utah newborn photography: Lenna

These photos are long overdue. I've been holding onto them forever and a handful of other shoots.
How precious is this little doll? There are moments where I look at her and she looks just like her dad, but a girl version of course....
I loved taking pictures with Jared and  Aarika.  They are so laid back and easy to photograph. And we had a ball playing dress ups with Lenna. And you can just tell they adore this little girl. Jared and I go way back (like I'm so old) to high school days. He was good friends with my little sister and I've always considered him one of my friends too. It's so fun to see his little family growing. I love these guys!

Utah newborn hotography: Elijah

Here are some recent photos of my nephew, Elijah. I absolutely love that every inch of his body is covered in hair. Honestly, he is the hairiest baby I've ever seen. It's debatable where he actually got all that hair from. The men in my family are hairy beasts and you would think that he got it from his dad, my brother. However, apparently his mom was pretty furry as a baby too. So this poor kid was doomed from the start. But I definitely think it's a feature. How can you resist rubbing your cheek on his furry head. (which I  do every time I hold him, and the clean baby smell helps too)

Baby Photography: Boston

This little guy is Boston Park and he is so stinkin' perfect. I had so much fun photographing Lindsay and Dallan's baby boy. Lindsay is such a gentle and caring mom and it really shows in her photos. Not only did I get to photograph a  little cutie, but I got to hang out with my long time friend, Lindsay. Lindsay and I go back to the good old high school days and then college. Oh how I miss our old shenanigans. :) Speaking of which this year is our high school reunion. Man! I am so freakin' old and I don't even feel like it. I feel more like a little kid now than I did then.

Utah newborn photography: Bailey

So here are a couple of my favorites from my first baby photo session.  I guess I like feet.... Or maybe it's the pink toe nail polish. Anyways little Bailey was such a delight to photograph and I learned so much! Sleepy baby is an easy baby.  Thank heavens for the pink binky.... Luckily she was super easy, sweet and sleepy! :) I also had the opportunity to try out a macro lens. It took me a while to get comfortable with focusing but I eventually figured it out.

More baby pictures to come of baby Boston.
